WALLYWHY100: AN ELEGANT AND VERSATILE YACHT

WALLYWHY100, A NEW GENERATION "COUPÉ" YACHT | @FERRETTIGROUP, @ABYS YACHTING
The WallyWhy100 is the new model launched at the end of December 2023 by the Wally brand, in response to the need to sail smaller boats. It presents a completely new concept of a new-generation yacht "coupé", retaining the same spirit and volume as a crossover, but in a more compact and dynamic version.
With this new model, the brand of futuristic yachts is revolutionising the sub-21 metre category. The WallyWhy100 was unveiled for the first time in Venice at an exclusive end-of-year party organised by the Ferretti Group. With a glass superstructure that gives it a stealthy appearance, and vast, open spaces leading directly out to sea, this model breaks new codes and redefines the style of yachts under 70 feet.
WALLYWHY100 CHALLENGES THE CLASSIC "COUPÉ" YACHTS
The WallyWhy100 is an entry-level model that aims to challenge classic "coupé" yacht designs. Where the architecture of typical yacht superstructures would give character to the whole, this model opts instead for wide, uncluttered spaces. The impression of grandeur is reinforced, increasing the level of comfort and serenity on board. The Why100 is designed to be as functional as it is efficient, which is why it adopts a hybrid concept, with interior and exterior spaces that are entirely modular.
The focal point of this boat is the design of the main deck. The living space extends from bow to stern on a single level, creating the illusion of a continuous line. So you move seamlessly from outside to inside. The high, imposing, slightly sloping bow ensures optimum watertightness and safety in all sea conditions. The large beach area at the bow provides all the comfort you need. These are the very values of a WallyWhy yacht, adapted to the marine environment while remaining very welcoming.
Stefano De Vivo said: "Like its predecessors, the WallyWhy100 will be a game-changer in many markets thanks to its market value and its versatility, which means it can be adapted to a very wide range of owners. In 20 years' time, the industry will look back on the WallyWhy100 as a yacht that dared to be different, a concept rooted in Wally's DNA. The WallyWhy 100 is an extremely flexible yacht, which promises to multiply the pleasures on board, in a more intimate atmosphere.
CONTEMPORARY, FUNCTIONAL INTERIOR DESIGN
The interior design of the WallyWhy100 was created by Studio A. Vallicelli, in a contemporary style. At the bow, the angular glazed superstructure houses a sheltered wheelhouse (with joystick control), which opens onto a multi-purpose saloon and a dining area for 6 people with galley. Just beyond the bar, a sofa area extends to two sunken sunbathing areas. The whole area can be easily adapted to suit different occasions, the weather or the desired ambience.
The layout of the rooms can be completely customised by opening the side walls and rear doors. The choice is between a totally enclosed space in case of capricious weather, or, on the contrary, a totally open space for al fresco dining right on the water's edge. The wheelhouse can also be closed to transform the hull into a cosy cinema. The saloon and dining room can be transformed into an aperitif area by lowering the table to the height of the seats.
On the lower deck, the owner's cabin extends the full width of the hull, with plenty of storage space and a hanging locker. It is equipped with an en-suite bathroom, with electrically controlled windows to modulate the amount of incoming light. The shower is separated from the rest by a glass wall, which is unheard of on yachts of this size. The same goes for the crew quarters, where they have private access from both the main and lower decks, so they don't have to cross the guest areas.
EXTERIORS IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH WATER
The foredeck of the WallyWhy100 reflects the world and comfort of the WallyPower (the smaller range). There is a lounge, which is also versatile, as its two seats can be converted into sun loungers, with aft-facing headrests. This layout underlines the WallyWhy100's seaworthiness for all types of cruising, whether at anchor or underway. This space forward creates an additional conviviality area, to the delight of guests.
The centerpiece of the WallyWhy100 is its aft deck. 14 square meters of space that can be extended by 50% thanks to its folding wings! An innovative feature, allowing participants to enjoy a magnificent 180C° view of the sea. The area is equipped with a hydraulic gangway for access to the quay. A large hydraulic platform can accommodate tenders and water toys up to 3.6 meters long. Fixed sunbeds and deckchairs are available for relaxation.
The WallyWhy100 combines the comfort of a larger yacht with the extraordinary performance of a "coupé". Stefano De Vivo said that while traditional 'coupes' don't offer the comfort and habitability that today's owners are looking for, neither do larger, more voluminous yachts offer high speeds or great flexibility. As a result, owners often find themselves choosing between comfort and performance, which is where the WallyWhy100 comes in, combining both features.
The WallyWhy100 is the ideal boat for weekend getaways and longer voyages. Whether you're travelling as a couple, with friends or family, this yacht will provide you with all the comfort of a larger boat, while guaranteeing breathtaking performance, so you can travel with complete peace of mind. The joystick system, coupled with a range of top-of-the-range Volvo Penta technology, will also allow owners to pilot the yacht themselves in a simple and fluid manner.
If you'd like to find out more, it will be present at the Venice Boat Show 2024 and at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024.
