Why choose the Balearics for your yacht charter
The Balearic archipelago enjoys an ideal Mediterranean climate, with over 300 days of sunshine a year. Sailing conditions are particularly favourable, with moderate winds and protected waters between the islands. This geographical proximity means that each island can be discovered on the same cruise, offering a remarkable diversity of landscapes and atmospheres.
The Balearic ports are among the most modern in Europe. Puerto Portals on Mallorca, Marina Botafoch on Ibiza and Port Mahón on Menorca welcome the world's finest yachts, with top-of-the-range services including fuel, electricity, water, Wi-Fi and 24-hour security.
Discover the treasures of Majorca on a yacht
Mallorca, the largest island in the archipelago, truly reveals all its treasures from the deck of a yacht. The north-west coast reveals spectacular cliffs and exceptional anchorages such as Cala Tuent and Sa Calobra, accessible only by sea. These wild coves offer deep blue waters, perfect for swimming and diving.
The port of Palma is an ideal starting point, with its Gothic cathedral visible from the open sea. Food lovers will love the Michelin-starred restaurants of Puerto Portals, while the beaches of Es Trenc to the south promise heavenly anchorages away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist trade.
Ibiza and Formentera: the Balearic art of living
Ibiza cultivates its worldwide reputation thanks to its legendary clubs, but the island also reveals more secret facets from the comfort of a yacht. The sunsets from Cala Comte or Es Vedrà are among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. The old town of Eivissa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, can be seen from a unique angle from the harbour.
Formentera, nicknamed the "Caribbean of the Mediterranean", can only be reached by boat. Its white sandy beaches, such as Ses Illetes, and turquoise waters alone justify chartering a yacht. The island has preserved its authenticity, with small fish restaurants overlooking the sea and unspoilt hiking trails.
Menorca: a wild and unspoilt island
A biosphere reserve since 1993, the island boasts over 120 beaches and coves, many of which are only accessible by boat. The south coast boasts white sandy beaches with turquoise waters, while the north has surprising reddish cliffs and secret coves.
The natural harbour of Mahón, one of the largest natural harbours in the world, impresses with its size and history. Lovers of authenticity will appreciate the island's unspoilt atmosphere, far removed from mass tourism, with its traditional fishing villages and local gastronomy.
