A Strong Presence at the Blue Design Summit 2026
Ferretti Group made a remarkable impact at the 2026 Blue Design Summit by securing three prestigious awards during the Blue Design Awards ceremony.
Held from May 18 to May 20 in La Spezia, at the heart of the famous “Blue Mile,” the international event has become one of the leading gatherings dedicated to nautical innovation, design culture, and project development.
The summit brought together key players from the maritime industry to discuss major topics shaping the future of the sector, including sustainability, yacht design innovation, coastal development, and interior architecture.
Industry Experts Take Center Stage
Beyond the awards, Ferretti Group also played an active role in the discussions and conferences that took place throughout the event.
Ivan Polidoro, Director of the Riva shipyard in La Spezia, participated in the opening session through the panel discussion titled “The Blue Mile of La Spezia: Where UNESCO Creativity Begins.” His contribution highlighted the importance of the region as a hub for innovation and nautical excellence.
Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta from Officina Italiana Design — the design studio responsible for every Riva model for more than three decades — also shared their expertise during the panel “Lines on Water: Two Visions of Design.” Their presentation explored the evolution of yacht design and the creative philosophy behind the iconic Riva brand.
Ferretti Yachts 800 Wins Best Motoryacht Under 24 Meters
One of the event’s major achievements for the group was the victory of the Ferretti Yachts 800 in the category “Best Motoryacht Under 24 Meters.”
Among the newest additions to the flybridge range, the yacht impressed the jury with its bold and refined design identity. The exterior was designed by Filippo Salvetti, while the interior was developed by the IdeaeItalia team. The model stood out for combining timeless elegance, dynamic styling, and innovative features often found on larger yachts.
Double Recognition for Riva
Riva also earned two prestigious distinctions during the awards ceremony :
The first award, “Best Advertising Video,” went to the promotional film created for the launch of Riva Cento, the collectible open yacht unveiled during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025. According to the jury, the campaign successfully captured the essence of the Riva brand through visual storytelling capable of expressing style, heritage, and Italian beauty.
The brand also received the prestigious title of “Italian Yacht Ambassador,” an honor recognizing the company that best represents and promotes the concept of Italian nautical elegance worldwide.
Strengthening a Global Leadership Position
These three awards further reinforce Ferretti Group’s position as one of the leading names in the global luxury yachting industry. By combining Italian craftsmanship, technological innovation, and distinctive design excellence, the group continues to shape the future of high-end boating.
