CUSTOM LINE NAVETTA 50: THE ORIGINS OF THE PROJECT
Custom Line Navetta 50 Project - Ferretti Group
Unveiled in July 2022 by the Ferretti Group, the all-new Custom Line Navetta 50 Project is the largest yacht ever built by the brand. Designed entirely in aluminum, this luxury yacht marks a real turning point in the history of Custom Line. Find out more, from the designers' point of view.
With the first hull currently under construction at the Ferretti Group's superyacht yard in Ancona, work on the second is due to start later this year, for launch as early as 2024. This new model will be positioned in the sub-500 GT aluminum yachting market segment.
CUSTOM LINE NAVETTA 50: A PROJECT FOCUSED ON LIVING SPACE
The Custom Line Navetta 50 has been designed to focus on the owner's living space, creating a new level of intimacy. The aim was to design a luxury yacht with optimal living qualities at sea, combining comfort, luxury and efficiency. For Stefano De Vivo, CCO of the Ferretti Group, "we know that yachting is moving more and more towards the concept of floating villas and lofts, to be experienced while cruising".
By offering a 50-meter yacht, the Custom Line brand aims to embody this trend: "With the new Custom Line Navetta 50, our aim is to offer ever larger and more sophisticated interior and exterior spaces, maximizing onboard habitability and guaranteeing the owner's privacy and well-being, while enhancing contact with the sea (...)".
On the design side, Custom Line continues to work with its long-standing Italian partners: Filippo Salvetti for the exteriors and ACPV Architects (Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel) for interior design and decoration. The project is therefore geared towards the construction of an all-aluminium super-yacht, with an entire environment dedicated to the owner's well-being. A new model, perfectly aligned with the continuity of the Navetta range.

THE MASTER SUITE, A MAJOR ASSET ON THIS LUXURY SUPER-YACHT
What really sets the Custom Line Navetta 50 apart from other superyachts is its master suite on the upper deck. Never before seen in the sub-500 GT segment! For Filippo Salvetti, the forward area of the upper deck will be reserved exclusively for the owner's use. To design a yacht that meets this requirement, the project was carried out in close collaboration with the Ferretti Group's Engineering Department, with a most ambitious result.
The owner's suite will be very spacious and surrounded by full-width bay windows, to offer a 180-degree view of the sea. The owner will have direct access to the sea via a large private terrace at the front. An exclusive relaxation area, with a large solarium to enjoy sunsets or sunrises. A real novelty, unlike anything created before by Custom Line Navetta.
Alvise Narduzzi, Custom Line project manager, explains: "(...) Whether you're on the sun deck or on the main deck, there's no way of seeing this private space, which ensures total privacy for the owner. This is a huge plus compared with competitors (...) who have retained a traditional layout and continue to provide the owner's cabin in the forward area of the main deck (...)".

A CONTINUOUS FLOW BETWEEN INDOORS AND OUTDOORS
When designing the Navetta 50, emphasis was placed on the interconnection between interiors and exteriors. This seamless flow will be reproduced in all guest spaces, and particularly in the lounge areas of the main and upper decks. Large floor-to-ceiling windows will also be installed to illuminate the rooms with natural light. A true balance of proportions, giving the feeling of being on an even larger boat.
Patricia Viel of ACPV Architects explains the reason for this choice: "The large windows on the main and upper decks, and the high ceilings throughout the yacht, will amplify the impact of the interior style to create a balance of proportions (...). The windows will also enhance the transparency and fluidity of the interior, to create spatial connections between interior and exterior spaces".
This effect is further enhanced by the use of reflective surfaces, natural shapes and luminous interior aesthetics: "The yacht's environment has a key influence on its interior design. You'll notice its impact through the rounded surfaces and organic shapes, applied throughout the super-yacht". For Custom Line, this yacht is synonymous with elegance and refinement.

INTERIOR DESIGN FOR TOTAL IMMERSION IN THE SEA
With the aim of providing the most immersive experience on board, comfort has been taken to the extreme. The teams worked on acoustics, in close collaboration with the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, to create a silent experience on board. No matter where they are in the yacht's spaces, passengers need to feel that they are in the most pleasant and comfortable environment.
When it came to interior architecture, Patricial Viel chose to refine the selection of materials, so as not to distract the owner and his guests from the on-board experience. The result is a more harmonious relationship between sound, materials and surfaces.

OUTSTANDING OUTDOOR SPACES
The exterior of the Custom Line Navetta 50 is very spacious. The Beach Club is one of the unique features of this model. For Alvise Narduzzi, this idea comes directly from the Ferretti Group management. Whether it's the aft area, the cockpit or the Beach Club, all will be impressively large.
In addition to the considerable size of these areas, the rectangular glass-bottomed aft pool on the main deck will stand out from all other Ferretti Group hulls. In fact, no other model has yet had such large, freely configurable spaces. Sofas and other alternative solutions can also be customized to suit the tastes of future occupants.
On the main deck, there's a large swimming pool with several sunbathing and dining areas. This space will be complemented by a spacious Beach Club on the lower deck, just aft of the water's edge, with a private lounge integrated into the main deck by the glass-bottomed pool. The aim of this yacht's configuration is to strike a balance between more intimate spaces and those dedicated to leisure and relaxation.

The Custom Line Navetta 50 will be a spectacular yacht, with the promise of a different experience on every deck. A fine balance between private spaces, relaxation and group activities. The choice is yours, so you can stay in harmony with the sea and create a daily dream...
