The Paris 2024 opening ceremony this summer promises to be historic and unique, as it will take place outside the stadium for the first time. Athletes will parade on boats along the Seine, transforming Paris into a living decor. A true bet, integrating for the first time boats dedicated to national delegations. The six-kilometer route will end at the Trocadéro, where the final shows and protocol ceremonies will take place.
According to the World Sailing 2024 website, work is underway to confirm the feasibility of a fan zone around the playing field to allow thousands of spectators to follow the races at the end of July, at the port of Marseille, while comfortably installed on their boats. In any case, the events will be visible from the Prado beaches, thanks to its exceptional location. Access with personal boats will be prohibited, but passenger boats will be available by reservation.
